Bobby Glen Murphy

Bobby Glen Murphy, Sr., age 86, of Crossett, AR, passed away on April 4, 2018 at his home in Crossett, AR.  He was born on October 22, 1931 to his parents, Dewey Benton Murphy and Lonnie Mae Burchell.  Mr. Murphy was a superintendent in the art department at Bancroft Paper Co. in Monroe, LA before his retirement.  He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading his bible.  He built birdhouses, he loved landscaping and hunting.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include:  his wife of 67 years, LaNell Noble Murphy; one son, Bob Murphy of Crossett; one daughter, Rita Eddy (Aaron) of Dewitt, AR; one sister, Joyce McElroy; four grandchildren, Bradley Glen Murphy, Aaron Michael Eddy, April Rose Buie and Maria Joy Jackson and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Crossett due to inclement weather.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
