Bobby Ray Martin, age 78 of Crossett, AR, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019. He was born on December 09, 1940 in Rayville, LA to Rayford Oliver and Emma King Martin. He was the owner of Martin Tire and Auto, Martin Scrap Metal, Martin’s Auto Sales, Bobby’s Towing & Recovery and Bobby’s Transportation in North Crossett. He was a long time member of the Crossett Riding Club and also supported various community events and initiatives. He was proud to call Crossett his home. He loved animals, especially his horses, his cat, ‘Calie Rose’ and his dog, ‘Daddy Boy’.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, R.O. Martin, Jr., Roy Dannehl, Tom Dannehl and Donald Johnson and one sister, Billie Jean Gatlin.
Mr. Martin is survived by two daughters, Terrisa Martin Wallace (Keith) of Sugar Land, TX and Denisha Martin Read (Michael) of Gulf Breeze, FL; two brothers, Jerry Martin (Joyce) of Minden, LA and Ricky Martin (Amber) of Monticello, AR; one sister, Patsy Bignar (the late Rev. Joey) of Jonesboro, LA; two grandsons, Tyler Wallace and Dillon Stanley; two granddaughters, Summer Stanley and Savannah Wallace; a special friend, Dee Dee Clark along with a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services are 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Crossett with Bro. David Newberry officiating. Interment is in Rayville Masonic Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Visitation is from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
