ANNIE RUTH DEAN

Annie Ruth Burchfield Dean, age 92, of Crossett, AR, passed away at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation on Monday, June 25, 2018.  She was born on February 17, 1926.  She was an active member of First Church of God.  Annie Ruth enjoyed cooking, gardening, birdwatching and crocheting afghans.  Mrs. Dean loved her family, church family and her grandchildren.  Her friendships were a hallmark of her character.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lawson Burchfield and Nancy Permenter Burchfield; her husband, Daniel W. Dean; one brother, Earl Burchfield and two sisters, Sally Bond and Carole Pugh.

Mrs. Dean is survived by two sons, Damon Dean (Becky) of Crossett, AR and Larry Dean (Kim) of Batesville, AR; one daughter, Marsha D. Kirksey (Bruce) of Pinson, TN; one sister, Ellen Wasson of Oak Grove, LA; six grandchildren, Tonya Dean, Hannah McAleer (Mark), Weston Dean, Teighlor Dean, Daniel Austin (Jane Marie) and Haley Graham (Joshua); one great grandchild, Bethany Austin and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at First Church of God with Bro. Charles Bond and Bro. Michael Neal officiating.  Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park.  Pallbearers are Dan Austin, Bruce Kirksey, Weston Dean, Joshua Graham, Clovis Dean and Mark McAleer. 

Visitation is from 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
