Lewis Carter is a native of Crossett and graduated Crossett High School in 1973.

Lewis began his funeral service career in 1972, having started a part time job at Jones Funeral Home.  After graduation he enrolled as a student at the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1974.

Upon graduation, Lewis returned as a full time staff member of Jones Funeral Home.  Lewis served his Funeral Directors apprenticeship under the supervision of the late Richard S. Jones, Jr. and Joe Jones. He also served his Embalmers apprenticeship under the supervision of Joe Jones.

Lewis Carter is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Arkansas and Louisiana. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association and the Northeast Louisiana Funeral Directors Association.

Lewis has served as Deputy Coroner of Ashley County under the Coroner at that time, William M. (Billy) Jones and was later elected Ashley County Coroner after Mr. Billy Jones’s retirement.

Lewis is the son of the late, Lewis A. Carter and Carolyn Bolin Carter and a grandson of the late, Ben S. and Emma Gaddie Carter and Rev. Riley and Doris Oden Bolin.

Lewis is married to Stacey Leigh Hanry Carter.  He has six children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Crossett native, Donna is the daughter of the late Dorla  and Kenneth McGilton.  She is a 1973 graduate of Crossett High School. She is married to Michael Gulledge and they have two children, Jamie and Chris; and three grandchildren, Chance, Camryn, & Drake. She is a member of West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church and Crossett Lions Club.  Donna is also on  the supervisory committee of Timberline Federal Credit Union in Crossett.

Donna began her career with Jones Funeral Home in May 1990 as a secretary. She became a licensed funeral director/insurance agent in March 1995.


Lisa Posey

Lisa is a resident of Crossett who began working for the Jones family in December 1986. She began her career in the Ashley Credit Bureau. After the closing in February 1993, she transfered to a bookkeeping position with Jones Flower Shop. In February 1998, she transfered to a clerical position with Jones Funeral Home.  Lisa became a licensed Insurance Agent in July 2012. 

Lisa is a 1984 graduate of Crossett High School.  She is married to Troy Posey.  They have one daughter, Brittany; one grandson, Matthew and one granddaughter, Trenedy.  Lisa is a member of North Crossett First Baptist Church.


Robert E. Davis

Robert E. Davis, while not a native of Crossett,  chose Crossett for retirement after 37 years of pastoring churches across Arkansas.  He is ordained by the Assemblies of God and has pastored in Melbourne, Foreman, Hamburg, Lake Village and Malvern.  He has lived in Crossett since 2010.  He is a member of First Assembly of God in Crossett.  Robert and his wife Beth have made Crossett their home.  They have two children, Susan Cole of Bartlesville, OK and Jason Davis of Jonesboro, AR.  They have one grandson, Josh Cole.  Robert better known as "Bob" stated that he feels that working for Jones Funeral Home is an extension of his ministry to people that he has been in for over 40 years.         


Charles Brown

Charles is a lifelong resident of Crossett. He is married to Helen Brown and has four children. Charles is a graduate of Crossett High School. He began his career with Jones Funeral Home in December 1971. Charles and his wife, Helen, are active members of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church where he is the chairman of the deacon board.

Carlis has been employed with Jones Funeral Home since March 2014. He graduated from Crossett High School in 2001.

Mrs. Kelley has been a resident of Crossett for many years. She is the widow of the late Rev. Dewitt Kelley and has four children, six granddaughters, two great grandsons, and three great granddaughters. She has been a night hostess at Jones Funeral Home since January 1981. She is a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Mrs. McClain has been a resident of Crossett for many years. She is married to Charles McClain and has three children. She has been a night hostess at Jones Funeral Home since September 2001. She is a member of First Baptist Church.


Judy  Bolin-Ray

Judy has been a resident of Crossett most of her life.  She is the widow of the late Bobby Ray.  She has one son, Michael Ray, who is a attorney here in Crossett and a daughter, Barbie Ray-Nichols who is a registered nurse in Shreveport, LA.  She has three grandsons and one granddaughter.  Judy is a member of First Baptist Church in Crossett.  She retired from Georgia-Pacific Paper Division of Engineering/Accounting after 30 years.  Her hobbies include spending time with her grandchildren, fishing with her son and shopping with her daughter.  She loves to attend her grandchildren's ballgames.  Judy has been a night hostess since February 2013.  She enjoys helping others and reaching out to grieving families as she experienced the loss of her husband and her dad within 9 days of each other.
