Veda Tankersley

Veda B. Tankersley, 90, of Crossett, AR, passed away on February 3, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on December 21, 1933 in Lake Village, AR, to Roy Edward Burnham and Sarah Burnham. She retired after 48 years of service from The First National Bank of Crossett where she had become well known and loved by many.
Mrs. Tankersley was a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her older sister, Mary Ellen Florianni; her twin sister, Ouida Casali; her brother, Roy Burnham Jr.; and her husband, Henry E. Tankersley.

She is survived by a son, Anthony R. Tankersley (Melody);  one grandson, Jacob E. Tankersley (Sharon) of Arkadelphia, AR.; and three great grandsons along with many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tankersley is also survived by her brothers, Bill Burnham of Mississippi and Edson Burnham (Marilyn) of La Porte, TX; and many many friends.

Visitation is 5PM to 7Pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett, AR. Funeral services are 11AM, Friday, February 9, 2024, at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Crossett. Interment will follow at Lake Village Cemetery under direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
