Brother Doug Tilbury Edwards will be officiating, with son-in-law, Cliff Pennington, in closing prayer.
Ronny’s passion was being a greens keeper at Unity Road Golf Course, Morehouse Country Club, and Prairie Country Club most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing Dominoes, Yahtzee, and cards. Ronny was a die-hard Saints and LSU fan. You knew when it was football season because you could hear him yelling from across the yard. Ronny could sit for hours playing Golf on PlayStation and watching game shows, especially Steve Harvey. He loved to sit outside around a fire listening to 80’s Rock, that you did not adjust the volume to, and enjoying a cold one.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Harris; his two sisters, Gwen Barnett and Pam Hammonds & his two brothers, Gary Harris and Keith Harris. His five children; Gina Savage, Ron Harris & wife Kayley, Jessica Pennington & husband Cliff, Whitney Barfield & husband Brad, and Courtney White. His seventeen grandchildren, Kate Austin & husband Dakota, Dawson Harris & wife Taylor, Lainey Pennington, Breckin Barfield, Alex Highsmith, Noah Harris, Brooklyn Little, Kami Little, Sarah Highsmith, Alli-Jo Little, Caleb Pennington, Levi Neal, Bennett Barfield, Audrey White and Annaleigh White. His five great grandchildren, Seylor Plunkett, Abel McDonald, Blakellie Harris, Baylor Austin & Baylen Austin. Along with numerous cousins & close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, G.W. Harris, his paternal grandparents, Berry & Robbie Cole Harris, his maternal grandparents, Oscar & Nancy Lum, and other close relatives.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Harris, Greg Little, Kurt Little, Ronald Lebrun, Carl Long, & Kurt Harris.
