Vera Mae Bonnette Jackson, age 93, of Crossett, AR passed away on November 17, 2015 at Stonegate Villa Health & Rehabilitation.

Vera earned her GED at age 62.  She was a 50+ year member of the Crossett Eastern Star Chapter 303 and also the American Legion Auxiliary Post 111 in Crossett.  She taught Sunday school classes for teenagers and Senior Ladies for many years at her church.  She also worked as a caregiver for others.

She was an avid reader.  She also spent many hours reading and studying her bible.  She loved gardening, flowers, vacationing and camping with her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Nora Mae Horn Bonnette; her husband of 53 years, Carrie Jackson; one daughter, Vera Kaye Woods; three brothers, Faye, Alva and Victor Bonnette; one sister, Lear Lee Lynn; and a very special aunt, Addie Horn Evans.

She is survived by two daughters, Nora Hogue and Joyce Barnett; one son, Allen Jackson and wife, Connie; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Don Justice and Dan Bonnette officiating.  Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.  (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church.
