Steven Sooter, age 48, of Crossett, AR passed away on February 10, 2015. He was born on October 16, 1966 in Crossett, AR. Steven worked for Pope's Auto Supply for 20 plus years and most recently for Crossett Marine. He had been a volunteer fireman in Connecticut. Steven loved to hunt, fish and watching NASCAR. Mr. Sooter was preceded in death by his parents, Orville D. Maxwell, Brenda Cutchall Quimby; paternal grandparents, James D. and Erma Lee Maxwell and maternal grandparents, Herman C. and Estelle Cutchall.

Survivors include his fiancAC.e, Lisa Chestnut of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Kristine Sooter of Somers, CT; step-children, Brittany Thomas, Katelyn Hood; two sisters, Angela Wisecarver (Jay) of Lafayette, LA, Connie Ford (Nathan Austin) of Texarkana, AR; aunt, Denise Majercin of Crossett, AR; uncle, Clifford Cutchall of Queen City, TX; grandchildren, D.J., Eli, Kamron and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
