Ruth McCay, age 82, of Crossett, AR passed away on June 29,2016.  She was born on October 30, 1933 in Dewitt, AR to her parents, James Eason and Lois Olive Young Ruffin.  Mrs. McCay was executive secretary for the Crossett Housing Authority.  She was an avid golfer and a member of the Prairie Country Club Women’s Golf Association, a State Champion bowler, and loved her flowers.  Mrs. McCay was a member of the Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Berlin, Ray and Bobby Joe Ruffin and one grandson, Adam McCay.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, George McCay; one son, Buddy Cameron (Theresa); two daughters, Faye McCracken (Roger) and Vicki Shirley (Mike), all of Crossett, AR; one step-son, Thomas D. McCay (Peggy) of Calion, AR; one step-daughter, Nanci Sanders of Longview, AR; one brother, Ken Ruffin of Mayflower, AR; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Eric Hodge officiating, under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)
