A better person than "Doogie" Darling will not be found on this earth. He and Patsy have befriended numbers of people
simply by being there. What a wonderful privilege to have
been counted as their friend and neighbor for many years.
My prayers are with Patsy. There is joy in heaven tonight! God bless those beloved granddaughters.

Mr. Doogie Darling was a very kind and helpful person. If you would just remember the years you shared with him, you will always have a smile on your face. May God continue to bless you.

Are hearts are saddened by the loss of this great friend and amazing man. Doogie's life was a wonderful example of giving your best in all that you do - his career in Forestry, achieving all honors, his life of faith set an example as a truly godly man. How proud his family and all of us, his friends, are of our very special friend. There is great rejoicing in Heaven as he reunites with his precious Linda and Eddie. He will be missed. So Sorry. Doogie was my best friend from childhood to this stage of life. He was also my college room mate at UAM. Best Wishes to Patsy and granddaughters.

I have so many fond memories of Mr.
Darling that I couldn't possibly count them all. From mealtimes with Linda and Eddy to all sorts of shinnanigans, he would sit back and grin while Patsy made us tow the line. I haven't been to Crossett since Linda's death, but I know this, the community will miss him. He was gracious and kind to me and I truly loved him. He always made me feel as though as was a part of his family. I look forward to hugging him in Heaven someday and thanking him for letting me be an extra at the dinner table!

Darling Family,
Mr. Doogie was a darling, for sure. He is one of the sweetest men I have ever known. So kind and loving, and a great care taker of Mrs. Patsy. He is walking the streets of gold and loving on Linda and Eddie and waiting on his wonderful wife. He was a great example for all who knew him. He will be missed , and I am so thankful to have known him and loved him.

Patsy and family. What a shock to see the news about Doogie. First met Doogie in 1960 at Fordyce. He was a wonderful and educated man to work for. I have always remembered my early years at Fordyce with Doogie. Doogie and I have been e-mailing each other over the past several years, just to keep up with each other. The forestry profession has lost a wonderful and great leader this day. Patsy here is wishing the best for you and your family.

It is with a heavy heart I learned of Mr. Doogie's passing. He was one of the finest men I ever had the pleasure of meeting a developing a friendship with, all be it way to short. He was always willing to help when he could and was an encouragement to everyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I do send prayers to his family for their loss, but have no doubt that he is in a wonderful place where he is walking among great trees and giving his wisdom on how to handle them! He was a wise man, a mentor to so many of us, but most of all he was a wonderful caring person. One could not be around him and not see it. One of, or maybe the best in our profession. He had it all. I wish all could have met Doogie. I did and was made a better forester and person because of it. Thank you... Bart

As a long time member of the forestry family, Doogie was always our leader and mentor. His living testimony of his faith made major impacts on so many lives including mine. As long life friends of my parents, I was blessed to know them both intimately. I can only offer you my sincere sympathy for your worldly loss but I rejoice in his gain and know he was greeted by his Savior who he served faithfully and is now reunited with Eddie and Linda. What a glorious day that was!
