Marjorie D. Russell, age 78, of Crossett, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Ashley County Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1936 in Crossett to her parents, David "Bass" and Mary Davis Johnson. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Russell was a member of First Baptist Church in Crossett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Bert Johnson and Tommy Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Russell, whom she married on April 10, 1959; two daughters, Jan Babb (Johnny) of Crossett, Cheryl Carter (Keith) of Crossett; four brothers, David Johnson of Little Rock, AR, Johnny Mack Johnson (Ellon) of Crossett, AR, Jimmy Johnson (O'Linda) of Little Rock, AR, Harold Ray Johnson (Linda) of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Jo Ann Townley of Crossett, AR; four grandchildren, Lauren Carlson (Chase), Hannah Babb, Madison Carter and Katie Lynn Carter.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Crossett with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time at the church on Monday.
