James Matthew “Matt” Gulledge, age 35, of Crossett, AR, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at home surrounded by family and loved ones.  Matt was born in Crossett, AR on October 25, 1981 to Curtis and Lisa Dean Gulledge.  Matt was a 2001 graduate of CHS and a graduate of UAM with a bachelor’s degree in history/political science.  Matt was passionate about teaching and loved sharing his knowledge with others.  He loved music and playing the guitar.  Matt loved all Arkansas Razorback Sports and also loved the Saints.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Allen and Patsy Gulledge and maternal grandparents, James and Kathryn Dean.

Along with his parents, Curtis and Lisa, Matt is survived by his 14 year old son, Tyce of Crossett; three brothers, Jesse and wife, Kristaleen and their daughter, Heidi, of Heartland, TX; Rusty of Crossett; Joel and wife, Hannah of Hot Springs, AR; as well as a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ellis Lewis officiating. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse, Rusty and Joel Gulledge, Brad Dean, Ceth Pennington and J.B. Netherland.
