History of Jones Funeral Home

In 1927, the funeral home was established in Hamburg by Murphy Jones. Following in his father's footsteps, Richard S. Jones, Sr. established Jones Funeral Home and Jones Flower Shop in 1941. He and his son, Richard S. Jones, Jr., continued to serve the people of Ashley County until their deaths in 1977 and 1988 respectively. For five generations, the Jones family has based its reputation on true concern.
